The Assistant Commercial Lines Account Executive position is responsible for the day to day maintenance and servicing of assigned Commercial Lines accounts, including but not limited to:

  • Maintaining a high level of client service and satisfaction
  • Ø Working with the Senior Account Executive on the renewal of accounts as needed
  • Ø Achieving agency account retention goals through proactive account rounding, up-selling of limits and coverages, and by providing extraordinary client service

Job Description:

  • Interface with carrier representatives, prospects/clients, and support staff in order to ensure that all parties receive necessary information in a complete and timely manner to ensure successful sales performance.
  • Interface with prospects/clients via various modes of communication (written, email, face-to-face, phone, other).
  • Participate in and promote pre and post placement servicing (proof of insurance, loss control services, premium financing, claims, etc.)
  • Process daily work assignments, including ad-hoc and renewal requests.
  • Input all notes according to outlined procedures of client/producer interactions and transactions, recording details of inquiries, complaints, and comments, as well as actions taken.
  • Manage key processes and internal activities that result in our ability to deliver client-facing requirements.
  • Work with Senior Commercial Lines Account Managers with complex subject matter to gain additional experience with accounts.
  • Serve as a backup for other members of your team to cover vacations, absences and to assist with balancing the workload of the team.
  • Other duties as assigned.

New Business and Renewal Management

  • Obtain phone calls and emails requesting quotes, changes to existing coverage and/or policies. Completes changes/request within 24 hours of receipt.
  • Create and/or update applications and submissions for the insurance carriers.
  • Negotiate the best terms and conditions with the Carriers for our members and clients.
  • Review existing accounts to determine if there are additional lines of insurance to recommend and do so by email or phone prior to renewal.
  • Document all material conversations with insured and/or carriers regarding exposures and coverages.
  • Deliver binders and/or policies for assigned accounts within five days of receipt including the Summary of Insurance.
  • Conduct quarterly service calls to assigned accounts.
  • Assist in the Preparation of midyear reviews with the clients and Producers.
  • Receives and reviews all terminations and cancellations to determine the action to be taken, and take needed action within 72 hours of receipt.

Job requirements

BASIC REQUIREMENTS

  • Appropriate State license(s).
  • Thorough knowledge of brokerage operations including claims handling, procedures, commercial lines rating, Vertafore AMS 360 to include Imageright, and applicable insurance laws/codes
  • Experience and expertise in operating in electronic environment; excellent automation skills, including MIS, Outlook, Word, Excel, document management software, carrier proprietary systems, and phone systems
  • Excellent time management, organizational and verbal and written communication skills
  • High degree of self-motivation and self-direction.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Confidentiality of financial, employee, and consumer information.
  • Must be able to work with occasional instruction and supervision.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

  • Completion of CISR or ACSR designation; currently enrolled in INS or API program is favorable
  • Familiarity with risk assessment and risk management techniques
  • Extensive knowledge of all lines of insurance, including sophisticated and less common coverages, especially those products represented through agency
